Our Story

An obsession for gelato was born in 2018 after a hiking trip in Italy. Co-owner Joe Jones fell in love with the creamy texture, pure intense flavor, and community tradition of gelato. When he returned to the states, Joe and his partner Vanessa started making their own southern Italian style gelato. Joe and Vanessa made countless batches of gelato base in their Covington kitchen - experimenting with flavors both traditional and contemporary. Before they knew it, they were studying under some of the top gelato chefs in the country, and in 2020 started the Golden Gelato Company.

Their passion for natural food, local ingredients and smiles shines through in their gelato. Using traditional Italian methods Golden Gelato churns small batches of gelato in house daily with quality ingredients that are locally sourced whenever possible.
